In sunshine and almost ideal ground conditions, the two-star eventing in Eventing in Marbach came to an end.
Eva Terpeluk celebrated a start-finish victory and thus once again secured the title of state champion of Baden-Württemberg.
Marbach suits the veterinary student. Already last year, at the autumn tournament at the grounds of the Baden-Württemberg Stud, she secured victory in the CCI2*-S with Uni's Black Pearl at the autumn tournament at the grounds of the Baden-Württemberg Stud. And this year, too, the young woman from Allmendingen in the Swabian Alb saddled the twelve-year-old Trakehner mare.
Already in the Dressage, when she even relegated Michael Jung to second place with her score of 24.5 points, she made it clear that she was a force to be reckoned with. The 1.5-point lead before the jumping competition was maintained, as both of them achieved clear rounds in the course in the morning and in the cross-country in the afternoon. The victory in the CCI2*-S also meant gold in the national championship for Eva Terpeluk - the second title after 2018.

Second place went to Michael Jung and the Irish-bred eight-year-old gelding Kilcandra Ocean Power (26 points). The exceptional rider, who has already celebrated all the major titles in this discipline, thus added a silver one to his large collection of medals. Dirk Schrade, the third-placed rider, also finished the competition with his dressage score (26.4 points). Although he comes from Gomadingen, i.e. the immediate neighborhood of the Stud, he did not play any role in the matter of the State Championship. Because the professional has been at home in the north for years. The bronze medal was won by the Italian Pietro Grandis, rider at the Jung stable, who competes nationally for Michael Jung's home club in Altheim.
He rode the six-year-old German sport horse Ignatz H, bred in Baden-Württemberg. The gelding belongs to Michael Jung's wife Faye Füllgraebe-Jung - a name that will take some getting used to, after all, the two only got married in April.
